Jonathan Reeve Price, Ganges Delta, 2019, Aluminum Print
In 1988 a NASA shuttle passed over the Ganges Delta, picking up the glare of the sun on the Bay of Bengal, and glimpses of the channels bringing glacier water down from the mountains of Bhutan, Tibet, India, and Nepal, and pulling in mud from Bangladesh. The delta itself is a maze of channels dividing swamps, carving out lakes, allowing soil to settle, as the waters slowly pour through mangrove groves, into the sea. Most of the area has been turned into farms, but on the islands, there are pythons, crocodiles, elephants, and clouded leopards.
How hard it is to see all these creatures…and the 300 million people who live in this enormous delta. I zoom in to look, but all I find is pixels. The image seems real, but dissolves into nothing.

Process
We print on aluminum, then protect the surface with a matte lamination. We attach mounting hardware to the back, and add the artist's signature on a label identifying the picture, and giving its number in the edition.
We package the print in tissue paper and extra layers of cardboard. We ship via US Priority Mail, insured.
Please allow two weeks for printing, packaging, and shipping.
